Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer Review + Swatches

Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer Review + Swatches

I’m a massive fan of the Pat McGrath eyeshadows and blushers, but I’d never tried any of the Pat McGrath Labs complexion products until trying the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer. You hear a lot of amazing things about the brand’s palettes and lip products, but their base range is kinda neglected in comparison.

What Is The Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer?

The Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer is marketed as being a lush, velvety concealer delivering flawless full coverage, with a lightweight and creamy-whipped consistency. It supposedly features a proprietary “Flex Form Matrix” formula, gliding seamlessly on to the skin, for a breathable and flexible layer that moves with the skin, for a radiant matte finish.

Pat McGrath Labs has designed the concealer, so it diffuses light, whilst optically smoothing and perfecting your complexion. The one claim that had me intrigued, was that it has an “undetectable filtered effect”, especially as it’s supposedly a full coverage concealer. I love a good full coverage concealer for covering up imperfections, but full coverage concealers tend to be cakey, drying and very noticeable.

The Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer is £29, and contains 5ml of product within a clear plastic tube, with a black lid and doefoot applicator. There are 36 shades to choose from, and it’s the only concealer Pat McGrath Labs do.

Just like every single product from the brand, the packaging is beautifully luxe, although for a high-end concealer, 5ml is a small amount of product, but the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is around the same price, and contains 6ml.

From the 36 shades on offer, I chose the lightest shade; L1, which is described as being “Lightest With Pink Undertones”, which sounded like it’d be a good match for my skintone and undertone. It really does deliver on the full coverage claim, and it surprised me as it’s more of a satin finish than a ‘radiant matte’, but it’s perfect for dry skin like mine.

The Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer works well at concealing imperfections without looking dry or cakey, and a little goes a very long way, as it’s so pigmented. It’s best applied with a damp beauty sponge, and it just sits so nicely on the skin.

The finish of the concealer really does remind me of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, except the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer has higher coverage, and it lasts for at least four to five hours, before touch-ups are needed. After enjoying this concealer so much, I’m looking forward to trying more complexion products from Pat McGrath Labs.
