Subscription box service, Wellbeing Sisters, introduces the Chemo-Care box – Retail Times

Let’s face it, Cancer is no easy ride and Chemotherapy is tough – even for the toughest cookies amongst us.

With this in mind, Wellbeing Sisters has carefully curated this Chemo-Care box, packed it full of products that are both pampering and practical for every woman preparing for or going through chemotherapy. Inside, you’ll find toxin-free skincare products that are completely safe to use during treatment (and after!) including a can’t-live-without repair-all balm, as well as a beautiful journal to record important info and support mental health, and a gorgeous tea specifically created to help ward off nausea.

This box was inspired by a heart-breaking turn in the Wellbeing Sisters journey, which happened at the end of last year (2021); when the founders received news that their gorgeous Mum had cancer. Oesophageal cancer, in fact.

What’s in the box?

Vegan Leather Notebook, RRP £7 – Keeping a diary not only to helps you remember and relay details to your medical team, but also provides a reference, so when you’re feeling really rubbish, you can look back at previous cycles and track when you might start feeling better.

Ere Perez Papaya SOS Marmalade, RRP £26 – Chemotherapy can wreak havoc on your skin, causing dryness and cracking, especially around the lips and fingertips. This incredibly nourishing balm is a true hero for soothing and healing dry, cracked skin.

Make Skincare Body Rejuvenate, RRP £28– This luxuriously nourishing body cream will soften, heal and restore your skin, from head to toe. Cocoa and shea butter, apricot kernel oil, vitamin E and aloe vera moisturise, protect and soothe the skin.

HotTea Mama Morning Rescue Tea, RRP £6 – Originally developed for morning sickness during pregnancy, this delicious whole leaf tea is a real saviour for nausea, a common chemo side effect.

Green Tea Konjac Sponge, RRP £9.99 – As well as providing Green Tea’s soothing benefits,  using this sponge also reduces the amount of soap/cleanser needed, reducing likelihood of skin irritation.
