Violet Voss Cool Vibes Palette Review + Swatches
[ad_1]
Hey Beauty Lovers!
It’s been a while since my last makeup product review, so I decided to start with my favorite Violet Voss eyeshadow palette.
I first discovered Violet Voss last year when I received the Olive You Forever Palette in my BoxyCharm Base Box, and I instantly fell in love with the brand.
All the Violet Voss palettes in my makeup collection perform really well but as a neutral shadow lover, the color story of the Cool Vibes Palette is hands-down my favorite!
If you want to know more about the Cool Vibes Palette and see some swatches, this is the post for you!
Violet Voss Cool Vibes Palette
The Cool Vibes Palette includes 10 shades with extra large pans.
Shades (left to right, top to bottom):
- Barely There (matte cool ivory)
- That’s Cool (shimmer warm taupe)
- Cold Shoulder (matte light taupe)
- Subzero (shimmer cool mauve tan)
- Coolest Brown (matte cool brown)
- Cool Side (shimmer antique bronze)
- Zero Chill (matte deep taupe)
- Too Cold (shimmer mauve taupe)
- Stone Cold (matte charcoal gray)
- Cool Vibes (glitter plum gunmetal)
Some of the shimmers look like foils, but I would still call them shimmer shades.
I absolutely love how easy the shades apply and the shimmers are stunning in person.
What I love most about the Cool Vibes Palette is that it is actually very versatile.
You can actually create so many different makeup looks using these cool-toned shades. Keep it neutral for workdays or smoke it out for a full glam look.
All the shades are super blendable, even the mattes, and they are buildable so you can’t really overdo it with the darker shades.
I typically apply the shimmer shades with my fingers, but you can apply them with a brush if you prefer.
Check out the swatches from the top row…
For my typical workday look, I usually apply Cold Shoulder (third shade) to my crease, Subzero (fourth shade) all over my lids, and Coolest Brown (fifth shade) to my outer corners and lower lashline.
It is a super easy look that helps define my eye shape and makes me look very professional.
Now check out the swatches of the bottom row…
This row includes mt favorite shades for creating a smokey eye look.
The Cool Vibes Palette is so easy to work with, that even a beginner can put together at least 4 eye looks with this one palette.
Here is a look that I threw together in just 10 minutes today using three shades from the palette…
Shades I used for this look:
- Cold Shoulder in the crease
- Cool Side on the lids
- Zero Chill in the outer corner and lower lash line
