Coachella 2022: The top fashion and beauty trends ahead of this year’s festival season

Coachella festival kicked off last weekend and whilst it is a music festival, stars usually start planning their looks months ahead. The styles that people bring to the famous event sets the tone for the rest of the festival season and inspires people around the world.
So far the festival has seen stars like Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Swedish House Mafia take to the stage, and they’re getting geared up to perform again next weekend. An annual event held in the Colorado Desert, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a must for anyone who is anyone to attend the event in the best beauty and fashion looks money can buy. The festival is a real show of creativity where anything goes, the bigger the better.

Whilst festivals have been on hold for the last two years during the coronavirus pandemic it seems that it was definitely go big or go home this year to make up for lost time. So here are some of the things we’ve notices from Coachella 2022 that you could take inspiration from ahead of festival season.
Many stars chose to channel the Y2K with thin braids and coloured graphic liner this year which gave a real late 90s early 00s vibe, with models Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner spotted sporting the theme as well as UK based fashion and beauty influencer Sarah Louise Ashcroft.

Other stars opted for sparkles, sparkles and more sparkles. Coachella queen Vanessa Hudgens went all out on the rhinestones this year, while headliner Harry Styles donned a bespoke Gucci rainbow sequin number and guest appearance from the one, the only Shania Twain also decked out in a matching sequin dress.

The other key fashion theme from this year’s festival was ‘country’ vibes with UK influencers and former Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Millie Grace Court taking on this trend.

Meanwhile other stars opted for a far more pared-back effortless look such as model Elsa Hosk and actress Lili Reinhart choosing to reign in the outfit choice by choosing denim options.
