As one of the most in-demand supermodels of her generation, having appeared on countless magazine covers and fashion campaigns, Hailey Bieber‘s image is important. But, being in the limelight, so is her mental health. And recently, the 24-year-old has spoken about how fitness has become a haven for both.
Speaking to Women’s Health UK’s Going for Goal podcast, the model revealed that she is in the best shape of her life – and shared her secret.
“Exercise keeps my mind and my body really healthy,” she says. “I used to be a ballet dancer so Pilates for me gets my body personally in the best shape, because it’s very elongating.”
The model continued, saying: “A lot of the movements in Pilates are very similar to dance and I think that’s why I identify with and like it so much,” and added that the method has really improved her “mental awareness.”
The supermodel is such a fan of the method, she has even got fellow model and gal pal Kendall Jenner on board, with the two often spotted going to Forma Pilates classes together in LA.

But, Pilates isn’t the only form of activity Hailey credits for keeping her physically fit, also adding in boxing as well as “a couple of sessions a week in the gym, weight training and cardio.”
The Calvin Klein model also recently shared that therapy helps her to overcome the pressures of being in the spotlight and dealing with trolls. “The way that I’ve dealt with a lot of the negative attention is…I’ve talked it a lot through with a therapist, and I do therapy consistently,” she says.

“I’m also married to someone that’s been dealing with this a lot longer than I have, to an extremely… like the highest level it could possibly be, [so,] I think being able to share that world with somebody that understands it even better than I do has been so helpful.”
Not going to lie, therapy and Pilates sounds like it makes for a pretty good self-care combo to me.
